Pilot Holes for Raise Bores
|

IDS LLC utilized the 2-7/8” Accu-Dril® and Steering Tool to drill and remain inside a
12” cylinder for 1312’ at Australia's Elura Mine. Gyroscopic surveys were taken every
20 feet. While drilling the pilot hole, everu time the hole would deviate off course
the Accu-Dril® motor with its Bent Housing would be run into the hole to steer the hole
back on course. Later a Pilot Hole was drilled in Queensland, Australia at the Mt. Isa
Mine using the same tools and methods staying inside a 6” cylinder for 1969 feet.
