for Underground Surveying and Directional Drilling purposes so that we can
provide a great variety of services to our clients, you'll find below examples
of IDS's Specialty Equipment:

Gyroscopic Systems
IDS designs special equipment to manage surveying and directional drilling
underground.
Specialized gyroscopic systems with conductivity sensors are now used for the
blast hole projects in the underground nickel markets of the Sudbury Basin in
Ontario, Canada.
When laying out blast patterns it is essential that the boreholes are all on
course so that no hanging walls are left. The cost and safety measures
required to re-blast the hanging walls is very high.

Martin Mini-Miner
IDS also uses the Martin Mini-Miner for underground surveying and transport.
The Mini-Miner is sized to fit inside the shaft cage for quick shutting down
to survey sites or for transporting a directional engineer to the drill site.
IDS manufactures specialty equipment for not only down-probing but up-probing
as well.
